Here we are! Back on track with a whole new website and many new ideas to contribute to raising awareness about Down syndrome!
First of all, let me explain to you our new page for our Down syndrome ecosystem! Compared to our previous website, we wanted to add colour and make it a lot more attractive, especially for people who do not necessarily know anything about Down syndrome. We wanted to create a website that could be understood by anyone and that visually would make you want to spend time on it! A place where you can enjoy and read about stories about people around the world who are also raising awareness!
This also applies to our content! We wanted to create a different type of content and focus more specifically on people. What do we mean by that? We want to share stories so that the next time you hear about Down syndrome, you can share their stories. In one way, we hope that this will help explain what it is like to have Down syndrome or what it is like to work with someone, or have a sibling, who has Down syndrome. With a bit more information, people understand a lot more and become less judgemental and that is exactly what we need! We really want to focus on what is being done for a better integration as it may inspire and help understand their needs.
With our Down syndrome ecosystem we want you to travel! Inspired by our D2020 World Project where we visited various foundations in many different countries, the new website is a continuation of the world tour! We want to make you discover new cultures, new ways of seeing things and just like when you travel, we want to open minds! That is why we created our “21 REASONS” project, a project meant to help siblings of people with Down syndrome to get in touch all around the world. We worked hard to make it easy and safe for everyone and if you wish to participate you just need to download the form on our OUR PROJECTS page. What is better than meeting people who have one very important thing in common: a special sibling!
