The world is so big and even though there is - supposedly - no more land to discover, little do we know about the treasures that surround us! As an explorer, spend time staring at the sky, at the ocean, or even the tiniest animal and I am sure that you will ask yourself many questions about how everything appeared, how everything survives and has survived for thousands of years, or how big or small you feel. When we decided to create our Nature ecosystem, we weren’t sure what to start with because it can include so many things, but one thing was sure, it was going to be about conservation!
Just like with all of our ecosystems, we believe that if the world population had more information on the topic, things would be done differently… and this is where we step in! We want to show you the wonders of the world in a way where they can seem accessible to you! You don’t need to go far to visit the most beautiful landscapes! You may not have elephants in your backyard but you may have breathtaking mountains, you may not have the sound of seagulls above your roof but have a calm river. If you live in a big city, you will surely know what I am talking about when I say that it is always nice to escape the noise of cars, sirens, the flashing lights of shops and find yourself surrounded by nature.
Nature. The beauty of nature. It may be incredibly complex and at the same time seem so simple. Nature can be dangerous, and most of the time it is where you feel safe. Nature can make you feel small but also fill your lungs of a huge amount of energy! At Manoa we want to give you that feeling of fresh air! We decided to publish various posts on natural parks around the world and also focus on the effects of plastic waste on our planet. What for? Because they are places that can be visited and most of the time, it is where countries protect their best treasures. Visit Iceland and the most breathtaking things you will see are its natural parks! However, it is important to see the impact most of us have on these treasures and ask ourselves what we are willing to do to avoid it disappearing…
At Manoa we also have our own projects, and for this ecosystem we decided to create our “WildLives” project to shine a light on the people who are behind the scenes, working on the conservation of nature. We will let our guest express themselves, explain their jobs but also their concerns on the evolution of our planet. Who else can be give you a better idea of what is happening than the people who see change happening every single day!
